Ágrip

Markmið rannsóknarinnar var að skoða hver notkun íslenskra skipulagsheilda væri af stjórnkerfisstöðlunum ÍST EN ISO 9001, ÍST EN ISO 14001 og ÍST EN ISO/IEC 27001. Enn fremur að kanna hvaða ávinning þær teldu sig hafa haft af vottun samkvæmt þeim. Megindleg aðferðafræði, spurningalistakönnun sem mælitæki, var notuð við framkvæmd rannsóknarinnar. Rannsóknarspurningarnar snérust um: (1) Innleiðingu og notkun staðlanna. (2) Hversu lengi vottunin hefði varað. (3) Hver ávinningurinn af vottuninni hefði verið. Nokkrar helstu niðurstöðurnar sýna að ávinningur jókst eftir því sem skipulagsheildir höfðu verið með vottun í lengri tíma. Þátttakendur með ISO 9001-vottun voru tæplega 95% mjög eða frekar sammála því að ávinningurinn af vottun væri bætt aðgengi að skjölum, liðlega 90% að hún hefði breytt vinnulagi til batnaðar, rúmlega 85% að hún hefði leitt til betri ímyndar og liðlega 75% að hún hefði aukið samkeppnishæfni. Þátttakendur með 14001-vottun voru rúmlega 95% mjög eða frekar sammála því að ávinningurinn hefði leitt til betri ímyndar og breytt vinnulagi til batnaðar, 75% að vottunin hefði samræmt þjónustu og tæplega 75% að hún hefði aukið samkeppnishæfni. Þátttakendur með ISO 27001-vottun voru 100% mjög eða frekar sammála því að vottunin hefði leitt til betri ímyndar og breytt vinnulagi til batnaðar, liðlega 90% að hún hefði bætt aðgengi skjölum og 90% að hún hefði lágmarkað ósamræmi/frávik.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to examine the use that Icelandic organizations had of the management standards ÍST EN ISO 9001, ÍST EN ISO14001 and ÍST EN ISO/IEC 27001. It was furthermore conducted to examine what benefits these organizations believed they had received from obtaining the certification that they met the requirements of these standards. Quantitative methods, using a questionnaire as the measuring instrument, were used in executing the research. The research questions to be answered covered: (1) The implementation and use of the standards. (2) For how long the organizations had enjoyed the certification. (3) The benefits received from the certification. Some of the main conclusions show that the benefits from certification increased over time the longer the organizations had enjoyed the certification. The participants having ISO 9001 certification were close to 95% very much or rather so in agreement that the benefit from the certification was better access to documents, more than 90% believed that it had changed work processes for the better, more than 85% believed that it had created a more favorable image and over 75% believed that it had increased competitiveness. Participants having ISO14001 certification were over 95% very much and rather so of the opinion that the benefit had resulted in a better image and changed work processes for the better, 75% believed that the certification had resulted in a more uniform service and close to 75% that it had increased competitiveness. Participants having ISO 27001 certification were 100% very much and rather so of the opinion that the certification had resulted in an improved image and had improved work processes, just over 90% that it had resulted in an improved access to documents and 90% that it had minimized inconsistencies and deviations.
